This is exactly what I hope to get from this sort of platform. Without meaning to sound... whatever, that's the first argument on this topic that I've resonated with, and that I feel makes sense. So genuinely, thank you for that. It's a great point of view, very well-structured, which I applaud.

To be honest, despite my cynical take on things, I am an optimist at heart, and am genuinely hoping whatever's going on now changes that radically.

I do believe that a counter-extreme (e.g. all manly men are the Devil-type narrative) can be useful. Because maybe after that, we can bounce back, as a society. Maybe we reach a plane where men no longer feel it's necessary to hate, as you said, everything feminine in themselves.

That's a very good point. You're right, it is a slippery slope, and it pays more to be cautious, considering the risks here. I do worry, though, that in guarding ourselves from that slippery slope, we may deepen the divide, and reap the consequences, as it were.

Completely agree. I don't think there's been a single instance in history where extremism was a good thing for anybody.
