I'm sorry you feel this way. But you also seem to have ascribred to me the stereotypical role of "conservative" (an umbrella term, lately) who just doesn't get independent women. I do, and I am. As I pointed out in another comment, I don't think women should change.

This article is simply a remark on the (many) women I've spoken to who, naturally, all have expectations of their dates. Some reasonable and justified and healthy. Sometimes, not, though.

Also, I don't think this type of article is as bothering as you say. If it's bothering to you, then don't read it, but personally, I like to think most women are smart enough to read something they don't agree with, and simply say "I don't agree with this".
