I'm sorry to hear that, my friend.

I know how difficult it can be, in one's healing journey to merge the (sometimes abusive or toxic) person they remember with the public persona of them. Of course, logically, no one would show all those bad, toxic aspects to the world at large. But just because they didn't shouldn't stop you or any survivor from acknowledging that they were hurtful.

It can be really hard being the only person (seemingly) who sees the ways in which a person is cruel/toxic.

The same people he embarrassed her in front of thought he was wonderful? Talk about dissociation.
