I do the same! I think it's a survival technique, to make yourself appear childlike and innocent. For one, it's a way of taking the sexuality out of the context, since you're retreating to a childlike behavior, and second, it signals to the other person to "go easy on you". I think, at least. Just off the top of my head, analysing my own reaction ;)
